Pioneering pyrotechnic swarm shows
We have some exciting news to kickstart 2025!
DroneSwarm is thrilled to announce that we are the first UK company permitted by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to conduct drone shows with pyrotechnics attached; a perfect partnership of elements for a drone company with a long history in the firework industry.
Using our cutting-edge technology and FireByWire pyrotechnic control, we’re setting a new standard for UK aerial entertainment.
We can offer this for large-scale national celebrations, private events and everything in between, so stay tuned for updates as we redefine what’s possible in the skies.

Is it too late to say Happy New Year?
We hope you and your team had the chance to reset over the Christmas break and are back at work feeling recharged for the new year.
For us, the Christmas period is one of our busiest times of year. At short notice, ITV asked us to create a display to support their ‘1 Million Minutes campaign’, which encourages people to pledge 30 minutes a week to help an elderly person.
The show consisted of the campaign logo, the number of minutes pledged and a ‘Thank You’ message, all written in the sky with our state-of-the-art drone technology.
Although we were asked to do the show 10 days beforehand, the final figures were confirmed just six hours before the show took place, meaning our team pulled out all the stops to make it a success.
Too early to discuss it?
We know Christmas has only just been and gone, but now’s the perfect time to start planning your entertainment for 2025’s festive season.
Drone light shows are an exciting way to add a touch of magic to your Christmas events, illuminating the sky with seasonal imagery.

Breaking more ground
We were immensely proud to deliver a drone light show for a graduation event at RAF Cranwell College. This landmark occasion featured the first-ever drone light show at this prestigious RAF location, perfectly complemented by a stunning firework finale.
The audience, comprising graduating officers, their families and esteemed guests, was captivated by the performance. The drones moved in perfect harmony set against a soundtrack that evoked pride and inspiration. Applause and cheers filled the air, creating an unforgettable moment for all in attendance.
RAF Cranwell, located in Lincolnshire, is one of the world’s most renowned military training establishments and the home of the Royal Air Force College. Established in 1919, it has a proud history of training generations of RAF officers, fostering leadership, discipline and excellence.
Helping Hiscox celebrate 25 years
Did you know we designed the first ever drone show to take place in Guernsey?
When major insurance provider Hiscox celebrated the 25th anniversary of their Guernsey operations, they called on DroneSwarm to create a bespoke display.
Organising shows are never as straightforward as you’d think. We coordinated with air traffic controllers and obtained permission from the Civil Aviation Authority to proceed with the display due to the site’s proximity to Guernsey Airport.
“Working with Mat and his team was a very smooth process. We approached two UK companies with our plan for our party and felt much more comfortable with the approach that DroneSwarm were suggesting.
We sent our ideas across to Mat along with the music suggestions and let his team put together a show that didn’t require much tweaking on our part as he understood our brief fully. Thank you for making our event so memorable!”
We lit up the night sky with the Hiscox logo and we used images to tell their unique story, leaving their exclusive audience with a proud and memorable experience.
That’s all for our first newsletter! Keep an eye out for the next one and get in touch if you’d like to find out more about our drone light shows and how we can help you put your name in lights!
