Pioneering pyrotechnic swarm shows
At DroneSwarm, we’re always looking to revolutionise our services and redefine the possibilities of drone light show technology to offer new, exciting options to our customers.
At the start of the year, we announced that we were the UK’s first company permitted by the CAA to conduct swarm shows with pyrotechnics attached to our proprietary drones!
Using our cutting-edge technology featuring integrated FireByWire pyrotechnic control, we’re setting a new standard in the UK for aerial entertainment.

Big birthday coming up?
Drone shows don’t just have to be at large public events. We’ve worked incredibly hard to make shows work with as few as 20 drones for small private events.
We recently produced a drone light show at Horwood House to help mark our customer Ene’s 50th birthday. Based on a pre-designed 30-drone birthday show, we customised the ending for Ene’s special day.
Her husband, Oluranti, was amazed by our 3D preview rendition of the display, which filled him with confidence and left him looking forward to his wife’s reaction.
Here’s what Oluranti had to say about our drone light show:
“I contacted Mat around January 2025 to try and put together a drone show for my wife’s 50th birthday.
Once we agreed the terms, Mat and his team went ahead to first produce a desktop (digital rendition) of the show, including soundtrack. The digital rendition was impressive, given that actual 3D layout of location was used in the production. The actual drone show left my wife and all our party guests with a very memorable experience. It was a great performance and I got my money’s worth. Thank you guys and your work speaks for you. I will certainly recommend you guys without reservation.
Finally, thanks for the video and pictures capturing the whole experience. I was able to download the pack within 24hrs and share with everyone. Well done.”
Pre-designed shows start from as little as £3.5k + VAT

More than meets the eye
When you see drones making magnificent patterns across the sky, it’s easy to forget they’re made of hundreds of tiny, intricate components.
At the end of April, our latest batch of 1,000 LED boards was delivered from our manufacturers.
The DroneSwarm team uses LED technology, controlled by a dedicated microcontroller, to allow for colour correction, temperature sensing and full management of our custom-designed aluminium PCB (printed circuit board) – just one of many crucial components required to help our drone light shows go off without a hitch.

Spectacularly safe
In 2024, we worked with Robe Lighting to celebrate the launch of their new iBOLT fixture near Cirencester, Gloucestershire.
Robe placed 40 iBOLT fixtures on either side of the runway at Cotswold Airport, providing an accompaniment to our proprietary drone show.
Each drone show we work on requires meticulous planning and, since this took place at an airport, safety and precision were key.
